About Slam Games
Slam Games was originally founded as a video games company by husband and wife team Andrew McLennan and Linda MacKellar in Scotland in 2004. The Slam team comprised a group of games industry veterans with many games across multiple platforms, from console and mobile games, through designing RPG games, board games and PBM games from the days of fanzines.
Slam focused on developing games for PC and mobile and also provided consultancy on toys and fun, working with companies like Hasbro, Microsoft, Kayak Interactive and WeeWorld.
In 2007 the team moved to the casual games space releasing Spinword as a Vista Launch title, and later self publishing Orchidia, Planet Busters and Pet Store Panic. The company also led a government funded 5 year research program for Online Game Development tools, but that’s another story.
In 2016 board games became a large part of our family quality time as we sought ways to spend time with our kids as they grow up in an increasingly digital world. Since we enjoy playing in the real world together, we decided to make our own board games and bring that experience to a wider audience.
